wmruffin
I thought it would be very interesting to find out which Hollywood stars you like the least (or at the very worst, CAN'T STAND). I have two on my list: Chuck Norris & Steven Seagal (which I will elaborate on in another post). Perhaps you may have a couple yourself. Perhaps you may not even know why you don't like a particular individual in movies. The fact remains, you just don't like them. Whatever the case may be, please share your thoughts with us. You may be surprised to find that others out there have the same feelings you do. Bill
sugarpuss
For me it's Tom Cruise. I never liked him before he went nuts and I certainly dislike him now. I never thought he was that great of an actor to begin with and his weird behavior of late isn't winning any points with me. And when he goes on his tangents about curing women of postpartum?depression and getting people off heroin with vitamins? It's hard to take him seriously after that. And while I don't strongly dislike her, I'm not a big fan of Marilyn Monroe as an actress. If I've ever watched any movies with her in it, it's because of the other actors (Niagara: Joseph Cotten, How to Marry a Millionaire: Lauren Bacall and Some Like it Hot: Jack Lemmon). I have read a few things about her and found her to be a very interesting personality, but in movies, I find her breathy, little girl voice to be a bit irritating. Steven Segal is a big jerk. I've never been able to look at him the same way after finding out that he used to beat up his wife, Kelly LeBrock, on a regular basis. Chuck Norris I've always found to be over the top humorous, especially after someone started those "Chuck Norris facts" that are making their way around the internet. nyoka1
Among "B" western stars, one who seemed to have been universally disliked was Allen "Rocky" Lane, though in later years, he was said to have contacted many of his old co-workers to apologize for his previous bad behavior. Josef Von Sternberg was another one people couldn't stand, but I don't think Jo ever got around to apologizing to anyone ... http://greenbriarpictureshows.blogspot.com/
wmruffin
Basically when I posed this question: "Least Liked Hollywood Films Stars" I was speaking of an individuals films or screen persona as opposed to their personal lives. Hell, we all know I half of the people in Hollywood are either nuts or not far from it. So in short just give me some of your thoughts about whoever it is that just doesn't turn you on when they come onto the big screen. It's like the old saying: "I wouldn't go see (the person in question) if they were playing across the street." Remember, there are no right or wrong answers. It's who you don't like in flims. For whatever reason. Bill
kansasqueen
Don't know about him as a person, but I wouldn't cross the street to go see Wallace Beery.
bansi4
George Clooney. Just can't stand to watch the guy in any movie he is in. Although Wallace Beery was a pain in the butt in real life, I enjoyed watching him in films. He was a good actor.
shearerchic04
Jennifer Aniston and Nicole Kidman hands down. I never got and still don't get the excitement and hype over them. The media puts way too much on them and did Nicole Kidman really deserve an Oscar for being onscreen just for 30 minutes. As for Jennifer Aniston, she'll always be "Rachel" from Friends. She plays "Rachel" in all her movies. They both are utter bores.
jarhfive
Hello, I am stretching the definition of "Hollywood star", but the guy did appear in movies--Merwyn 'Ish Kabibble' Bogue. Kabibble's mentor(?), Kay Kyser, makes me ill. Rusty
wmruffin
I've always had a problem with anyone playing James Bond 007 other than Sean Connery. Especially Roger Moore. Give me a break. Bill

wmruffin
I never liked Steven Seagal because he always has this certain confused look on his face like he's even surprised himself he's in a movie. Chuck Norris in the movie or two I've seem him in seemed to have just a handful of lines throughout the entire picture. Perhaps it's just me, but I don't see anything in his acting either. gwtwbooklover
wmruffin i have to agree with sugarpuss sometimes it gets to where what an actor does on the outside if you will that you can't abide the actor anymore. I share sugarpuss' feelings about Tom Cruise. He is an actor of my generation and I'm ashamed. What is even worse is the one film of his that I loved before he went wacko was Jerry Maguire and I can't stand to watch it now. Which brings to mind I like a funny comment sometimes they are painful and the person who gets them usually hates them like Elvis the pelvis-I'd like to know who was the first to call or refer to Cruise as tomcat I get tickled everytime I hear it. I wish I could think of someone right off that I wouldn't cross the steet for besides Paris Hilton which is a given so not much of a choice. UM...I going to have to think about this. Let me state though that I have no problem with Joan Crawford watching her and knowing her adoptive childen recollections of their lives together. Perhaps it is because she can act that makes the difference. I don't mean to anger you Crawford fans. Anyway the person who posted about Steven Segal looking like he is surprised to even be a movie how funny!-how true.
JonParker
I can't stand Joan Crawford. Never could. Bette Davis I like once she got older, but not when she was young. I'm not sure why, but they're both like fingernails on blackboards for me.
traceyk65
I'm sure there are many more. It's amazing how to me how most of my disliked stars come out of the 50s, It's the hairdos and the smug, cooler than thou attitudes. Though really, they were cooler than most people of their time...it was the 50's after all.
