daneldorado
Frankenstein to his bride LOL I am working on it Dan ! Bless your heart, Carol, you actually submitted an answer. We trivians love when that happens. And the word "bride" does fit the scenario. But... as you surely already know, given the spin you put on your reply, Frankenstein and his bride is not the answer. The couple in question are a younger, better-looking pair than Boris Karloff and Elsa Lanchester were in 1935. The man is kneeling over the inert body of his winsome bride and pleading to heaven to save her. "Oh God, please don't let her die. She's wicked but I love her." Who said that line, and in what movie? Dan http://www.silentfilmguide.com

unclecharlie
Hud is great movie and a great guess..but incorrect. The girl in this movie was in a popular Hitchcock movie (then again, which ones aren't popular) and a young male co-star died young in real life.

unclecharlie
Very good Bart! Warren Beatty uttered the line in question. Karl Malden was the alcoholic father. Brandon DeWilde was Beatty's kid brother in a role very similar to the one he played as Paul Newman's nephew in "Hud". As most of you know, DeWilde died in a motorcycle accident when he was only 30 years old. You're up Bart.
