jakeev
There have been a lot of discussion about Bette Davis and Katharine Hepburn about them being the two greatest of their generation if not all time. But I am wondering, how did the two get along? Did they at least respect each other? I know they were hardly intertwined in each others' lives and I think I read somewhere that Bette did at least admire Kate. I also thought I had read in a book that the two were once supposed to work together, but the project never took off. Can anyone elaborate if that is true? It's the one "what if" I have always have about the Golden Age of movies is what it would have been like if the two had ever made a movie together. Smithus
Bette and Katharine had a respect for each other but I believe Bette was a bit jealous of Katharine at times. Katharine said that Bette was a great actress . The idea of them starring together in a movie did come up - Bette was enthusiastic , Katharine was not.
