Yosemite National Park in Hollywood Films

Hello All,

TCM ran a movie some weeks ago, filmed in Yosemite. It was a romance and the highlight of the film [for me] was the "river of fire" sequence, shot from Glacier Point. I do recall one other scene when the couple were filmed outside on the patio, eating their breakfast at the Ahwahnee Hotel.

Regretably, I cannot recall who was in the movie OR the title of it. Sorry!

I do know that it was a color film(!) and it must have been shot in the late 1940's or early 1950's.

Can anyone help me with a title or any other info?

Many thanks for taking the time to respond!

Alain

As part of TCM's Desi & Lucy night in early May, they ran The Long, Long Trailer (1954) and Forever, Darling (1956) (which will air again in July) - both were shot on location in Yosemite (among other places). Perhaps it was one of these?
