Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn?

Hello Sam,

Yes, I remember Vera Lynn. "There'll Be Bluebirds Over the White Cliffs of Dover" and "We'll Meet Again"...

I believe Miss Lynn is still alive and sang for The Queen during her 50th anniversary of her reign (2002). She looked good and sang like a canary.

She is a Dame of the British Empire.

You can write to her at:

Ditchling, East Sussex

England.

She loves to get letters from her fans and often replies to them.

Yes, I remember Dame Vera. A radio station in Philadelphia, long since gone I'm afraid replaced by acid rock or something, used to play all of the great music from the 30's and 40's and she was a staple of their playlist. I gave the eulogy for my dear Aunt Carrie and used "We'll Meet Again" as the closing, as it was my Aunt's favorite song.
