I love oven fried potatoes.    Often I add celery,  carrots and onions.     From time to time I'll sprinkle a little fennel seeds on top.    This adds a burst of favor but it must be used with a light touch.

But this is cooking and that is a no-no at this thread.      :)

But the thread has had it's name changed from chow to cuisine. That should allow for some cooking.

Breyer's Chocolate Chip ice cream is pretty tasty. Friendly's

has good ice cream too, especially Chocolate Fudge

Brownie.

I like Ring-Dings and Little Debbie. Besides their own

snacks, LD has a knock off of about every other snack

around and they're not bad.

I haven't been to a Friendly's in at least 40 years.

I like Bryers Chocolate, made with Dutch cocoa and whole cream - no growth hormones.

When I could indulge in such things, a favorite of mine was morning coffee (at work) with chocolate Hostess Cupcakes. That'll cure a hangover.

I haven't had one of those cupcakes in years -- do they still make them? My grandmother was a particular fan of these. I found this image, but I remember one pink one and one white one in the package:

Hostess Cake was bought out, they were out of production for a short while around 2012-2013, then returned.

I have eaten several packages of sno balls, but they're lightness didn't appeal to my senses. The cupcakes were more substantial in that regard.

Those cupcakes look so good, I'm tempted to get some tomorrow.

I've cut down on snacks like those and only buy them every once

in a while.

I remember that when I was a teen the local Friendly's was a

weekend hangout. But I meant the Friendly's ice cream that

is now sold in grocery stores. Pretty good.

Ring-Dings were fairly compact and dense compared to something

like Hos-Hos, which are a bit fluffier. That's why people referred to

R'Ds as hockey pucks. The LD knockoff is called something like

Choco Cremes and are pretty good.

Resistance is not futile. I can get by with only one or two

a month and that's with the local grocery store having a

small grouping right near the checkout.

I realize my previous post may have been misinterpreted. I did not mean to suggest you ate these each day of the week. My intent was to say that the next day in the sequence (Friday) is 'once in a while' - in response to your saying you were tempted to get some "tomorrow".

I try to eat healthy cereal with fruit for breakfast -- Trader Joe's High Fiber Cereal, which is very high fiber, low cal, low sugar, no fake sweeteners.

But recently I had to go on a low fiber diet, so I got to eat my old favorite Rice Crispies for a while! No fiber, more sugar than my usual, but they remind me of childhood and they really do go Snap Crackle Pop!

with breakfast I swing back and forth between three things,..

1. kit kat bars and milk

2. delicious cocoa puffs cereal

3. special k cereal

all three are yummy.

:)

No wonder you're still alive.

It's that third one that saves you.
