mymorningsong
When I was about 12 i watched a movie about little boy it was set during WWII. His mother was killed in an air raid I believe and so he went to find his father. His father was a soldier and was in India and the little boy walked to india to find him. I think it was England to India I remember him walking across a desert. a Anyway's if anyone can give the title I would appreciate it.
JackBurley
This sounds just like Sammy Going South, a movie that I saw in the USA under the title of A Boy Ten Feet Tall; except that it took place in Africa -- not India. How certain are you of the India aspect? In A Boy Ten Feet Tall, the boy's parents are killed in an air raid, and he decides to travel to Durban (South Africa) where he had a relative. He traverses the desert and experiences many dramatic adventures. I'd like to see this again!
tobitz
Thanks for the reminder of A Boy Ten Feet Tall, JackBurley, a movie I remember fondly. But since morningsong did not give the approximate year they saw the movie, and since movies are movies, I wonder if it was partially drawn from an earlier film. Hope we all find out. mymorningsong
That is the name of the movie. I thought it had something about being 10 ft. tall in the title but I have never been able to find it listed any where, so I thought I must have been wrong. Thanks for the help.
