Mandi
Well, I managed to somehow form an obsession for Marcello Mastroianni, in the past, I don't know, 3 days. Other than La Dolce Vita, which I've seen and own, Divorce Italian Style, and 8 1/2 which I am awaiting from my public library, what are some other Mastroianni films I should look into, and what are they about? Cheers. (~.~)
JackBurley
What a satisfying addiction that must be. Handsome. Charming. Mastroianni. La Dolce Vita is one of those movies that gets better with each viewing. My relationship with it has grown richer as the years go by... 8 1/2? A beautiful gem. But soon you must check out Visconti's Le Notti Bianche starring the great trio of Mastroianni, spunky Maria Schell and the legendary Jean Marais. Dramatic use of black and white. With heartbreaking performances, this is one of the most romantic movies of all time. If you can see it on the big screen -- so much the better; but it's available via The Criterion Collection. Ossessione? Mastroianni!
