belfast
Saw a film a few days ago. I thought it was on TCM but I guess I was wrong. Anyway, I only saw a bit of it. But it had someone like Brigitte Bardot(had to be her. Who else could it be!) Anyway, she was walking around a lot and looking dreary. She was walking around a theatre a lot. I wonder if this is Contempt which I haven't seen. Any ideas?
JackBurley
A Very Private Affair starring Mlle. Bardot was on July 28. The quick synopsis read: "A reclusive movie star falls for her mother's former lover." Louis Malle directed it. Could that be it?

Jack Palance is wonderful and the score by Georges Delarue is so hauntingly beautiful that the movie will stay with you for years.
belfast
Okay. Thank you. That's it then. Another problem was that I was looking at the schedule for late at night. I'm surprised that I was watching parts of it from 6 to 8. Didn't see Marcello but it was just fleeting. Just really noticed Bardot and her sad moods. Thank you. JackBurley
But Contempt wasn't on TCM in July. A Very Private Affair was the only Bardot movie in July... in the U.S. at least.
