The first actor/actress that comes to mind..

O.J. Simpson

Next: admitted he/she was not good at crying on cue

Clues like this transform the exercise into a trivia thread. It's meant to be an association thread, isn't it? Should be general clues that can associated with a certain actor, whoever leaps to mind. That's the fun of it.

Two cents.

I find that if someone leaves something too specific, and nothing jumps to mind, then just make it up, the sillier the better. At least you'll get a chuckle out of it.

Tallulah Bankhead

[even that clue was to specific, it makes one try to think of a movie, no association there]

bellicose brute

[eg, someone might come to mind that never played a bellicose brute, but he could have]

Well, if you want to get unspecific for free association, then the clues need not have anything to do with the answers given at all, at which point the entire exercise seems a waste of time. By the way, the micro-print is hard on aging eyes.

bellicose brute

Ann Harding

next: has more than one arm.

You Got It  !!!!

It's what comes to mind, it doesn't have to be attached to the clue. The clue is just a stimulus.

Okay, nuff said ... had to get this off my chest. Sorry for the intrusion. no mas

I don't see why the thread had to be disrupted. For instance there were plenty of actors/actresses that could be associated with not crying on cue or having scenes on a boat or a ship.

Also in my opinion it seems counter-productive to complain about veering too much into trivia when this is in fact a Games and Trivia forum. I don't mind it when someone is too specific and I can't answer...it makes me eager to return to the thread later and see what someone answered, since I might learn something from them.

Moving on...

Dragging a stole: this reminds me of an episode of 'The Lucy Show' so I will say Lucille Ball.

Next: a performer with a hyphenated surname
