The Harvey Girls, is my favorite film for 1946! Judy Garland, Cyd Charisse and Angela Lansbury; absolutely!!

 

 

It just occurred to me, 1946 was a wonderful year in film.

 

Honorable mentions to: The Blue Dahlia, The Big Sleep, It's a Wonderful Life (#2), The Postman Always Rings Twice, and Till the Clouds Roll By.

Miracle on 34th Street, my favorite film of 1947!! As everybody probably knows, anything with Natalie Wood is automatically my favorite!

On the Town, my favorite film of 1949! Vera Ellen, Gene Kelly, and Frank Sinatra!

*Interesting tidbit, I read that for this movie, Frank Sinatra requested a padded butt. In those Navy uniforms, I guess he didn't measure up to Gene Kelly in the caboose. lol
