Bernie Sanders!

Recommended Posts

Sounds a little underhanded to me.

That's the system.  You-know-who will be quick to point that out and say it is typical of losers to whine about it.  In other words don't whine about a rigged system.  Just be happy to be in the presence of the anointed one.

There is one superdelegate that Hill will never get.

Can you imagine the whining if the Nebraska situation had been reversed, if Hillary won that sparsely attended caucus on March 5, got most of the delegates; but then Sanders won the May 10 primary, which had thousands more voters?   Bernie and his people would have said it's rigged, they're all against him, etc. But he doesn't seem to be complaining, because the system came out in his favor.

Another example of Bernie the hypocrite.

Not so bizarre. In 2008, at this point, between April and June, Hillary won most of the primaries and delegates. But Obama won the nomination because he had more delegates (Obama was also behind Hillary -- and McCain -- in the polls at this point in 2008).  Don't be manipulated but media spin. The focus should be on numbers of delegates!

I believe the media (e.g. CNN) is covering the Dem race fairly.  e.g. they now show how many pledged delegates each candidate has (when months ago they just showed a total that included super delegates which I believe was misleading since super delegates are not bound until the convention).

As noted many state primaries are proportional and HRC gains delegates even when she 'loses' (doesn't get the most votes in a state).   I don't see how Sanders gains more pledged delegates since HRC is likely to win CA.

While my money is on HRC to be the Dem nominee I'm still surprised how much traction as self proclaimed democratic socialist has made against her.   That says something about HRC's as a politician as well as many members of the party.

Appears that some liberals are beginning to fear that Sanders has no chance of being the nominee much less being elected and is hurting Clinton and therefore Trump will be elected.

Now that Trump is the GOP nominee, the media will spend less time on him and focus much more on the Sanders vs. Clinton contest.

Building robot McDonald's staff 'cheaper' than hiring workers on minimum wage

A former McDonald's CEO warned that robots will take over staff jobs at the fast food empire - because it's cheaper than employing humans.

Ed Rensi has said that buying highly skilled robotics is a cheaper alternative than employing people on minimum wage to work in the company's worldwide restaurants.

He warned that huge job losses are imminent, and commented that it would be 'common sense' to replace humans in the workplace.

"The CEO of McDonald’s fast food chain, Steve Easterbrook, was pleased to announce that driven by the President’s push for higher wages and a growing economy, McDonald’s profits are up, employee turnover is lower, and customer satisfaction scores are higher. So much for the GOP’s lies that higher wages and employee benefits are business killers...."

--Labor advocates say the store could still go farther and affect more McDonald’s employees. Currently, McDonald’s does not offer all these benefits to individual franchisee’s employees who make up about 90 percent of McDonald’s labor force. According to the research director at Jobs With Justice, Erin Johansson, “It’s great news, however we would definitely like to see them extend the wage increases not just to their direct employees, but to their franchisees as well.”--

As the above states, 90 percent of McDonald's employees are under the franchisee's employment. The ones that are benefitting are getting better pay from the corporation. Big difference. Give it some time and wait and see. Automation is coming.

Followed by McDonald's going out of business in record time.

Bye Bye, McDonalds.

What is HS?   Automation has clearly reduced the need for low skilled employees in many job sectors.   e.g.   restaurants, especially corporate chains, are moving to technology where one can place their orders and pay their bill using a device placed on the table.  Soon this device will be replaced and customers will just use their smart phone.    The restaurant is able to get rid of waiters and waitresses because all they need are food servers (someone to bring the food to the table, and clean up the table).

I'm not saying that fast food chains will be able to have machines make burgers and fries (I don't know enough about the technology to know how cost effective that would be),    but a recent article by The Economist stated that the USA has lost more jobs to automation in the last 5 years or so,  then to China and other nations.

And he just keeps on drawing incredible crowds!

I don't think there's been anything like this is my lifetime. This guy is the real deal!

Truthdig again?  In any case, any religious fanatic or even demagogue can get huge crowds. For all those crowds, there are more people who stay home and aren't interested in their rants or demagoguery, and will vote for Hillary. It's all show business. Sanders and Trump have learned how to use the media in the most shameless way. "It's the same dame."

Oh, he'll come up with words to insult and ridicule Bernie alright, but they won't bother Bernie at all. Bernie is as steady as they come - being a good man does that to you.

I disagree. He wants to run against Bernie, so he won't do any of that. They'll both rail against Hillary. If such a ridiculous idea as a Trump/Sanders debate happens, it would be the lowest of the low -- showing how the media conspires with demagogues to create a big show.
