"The bill Republicans announced today is even worse than expected and by far the most harmful piece of legislation I have seen in my lifetime.

This bill has nothing to do with health care. It has everything to do with an enormous transfer of wealth from working people to the richest Americans.

Republicans want to throw millions of Americans off of health insurance – including thousands of Vermonters – slash Medicaid, defund Planned Parenthood and substantially increase premiums on older Americans.

Meanwhile, their bill would provide over $200 billion in tax breaks to the top 2 percent and hundreds of billions more to the big drug and insurance companies that are ripping off the American people....

"Donald Trump told the American people that 3-5 million people voted illegally in the last election. His administration officials have repeated this claim. But let’s be clear: It is a lie. There is no evidence whatsoever for it.

This lie about our elections is also not simply the ravings of a sore winner. It sends a message to every Republican governor in the country to accelerate efforts to suppress the vote, to make it harder for people of color, poor people, old people, and young people, to participate in the political process.

The real crisis we face is voter suppression, not voter fraud,.."

Nissan dispute could go down as most vicious anti-union crusade in decades-

- Bernie Sanders

"....In the lead up to the vote, Nissan management has been deluging employees with anti-union literature and is threatening to close the plant if a majority of its workers vote to establish a union.

Supervisors have called workers off assembly lines for one-on-one interrogations. Anti-union videos are being run on a constant loop in employee break rooms. Groups of workers have been called into “roundtable” meetings to hear management disparage the United Auto Workers (UAW). Nissan has been saturating local TV and radio with anti-union propaganda.......

Large corporations like Nissan like to set up shop in states like Mississippi because they know that when safety nets are frayed, and people hit hard times, they’re more likely to accept low wages and poor working conditions. They know how to exploit human misery and insecurity, and turn them into high profits....

But regardless of what happens this week, Nissan workers should be very proud. They have exposed the system of racial and economic injustice that corporations like Nissan are perpetrating. We need to build on their courageous efforts, and fight for an economy that works for all of us, not just the top one percent."

What an unbelievable snowflake that professor is. This kind of stomach-turning falseness has just gotten so sickening for people with anything on the brain to have to hear. It's just getting so tiresome.

Harris to co-sponsor Sanders' single-payer bill-

"Kamala Harris, on Wednesday departed from the position held by the state’s senior senator, Dianne Feinstein, and announced her intention to co-sponsor Sen. Bernie Sanders’ “Medicare for All’’ bill....

"There’s no question that ... all people should have access to affordable health care, and as we talk about moving toward a single-payer system, I think there is certainly energy and momentum toward that,’’ Harris told reporters. "Americans are making very clear when they defeated the repeal" of the Affordable Care Act "that they don’t want to play politics with their health care.”

BERNIE! BERNIE! BERNIE!

"U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders made several speeches in the Northeast on Monday, saying Donald Trump’s presidency is accelerating a trend to make America a country for the rich and not for everyone.

Sanders on Monday deviated from a typical Labor Day message, using “ugly” and “cruel” to describe Trump’s reported decision to end a program that grants temporary legal status to people who were brought to the United States illegally as children

Sanders told the union members he spoke to at the New Hampshire AFL-CIO in Manchester that they needed to stand together to fight for immigrants, just like they need to keep fighting for government-run health care for all Americans and other policy changes he said would stop the economic backsliding for the middle class.

“We’re taking on the insurance companies. We’re taking on Wall Street. But ultimately we will win this struggle,”

Just read an article on the CNN website, by a Hillary supporter,  Jill Filipovic,   based on Hillary's soon to be released book, where she blames a lot of the lost on Bernie.    I highly recommend it for a good laugh.

These Hillary supporters are so caught up in their own spin,  no wonder they couldn't put Hillary into the White House.

'Go Forward, Not Back': Dismissing Clinton Jabs, Sanders Says He's Focused on Issues at Hand-

Sanders more interested in opposing Trump, raising wages, and obtaining Medicare for All than in relitigating the 2016 Democratic primary.........

".....Responding to excerpts in which Clinton claims Sanders' criticism of her Wall Street speeches did "lasting damage" to her general election chances, Rep. Jared Huffman (D-Calif.) wrote: "Please Hillary, don't go there."

"I supported you," Huffman added.

"Bernie showed restraint and class and ran an aspirational campaign."

Good thing she lost, then, or else Goldman Sachs would have had a lot of influence within our government.

What isn't a good thing for the Dem party is Hillary complaining that Sanders happened to point out to Dems during the primary all the money Hillary was getting from corporations.     Why is Hillary complaining about that and just not owning it?

The reason is Hillary cares way more about herself than she cares about the future of the Dem party.

Dems needs Sanders supporters and their 'brand' of politics if they wish to make gains in 2018 and 2020.

I know this is re-litigating the election:

If Hillary had chosen Bernie as her running mate instead of what's his name she would have won the election handily.  Bernie may have accepted the vp position as he did go on to support her and even campaigned for her.

But Clinton probably felt she had it all wrapped up without Sanders and chose a real background guy as her mate.

I agree with this,  but maybe there were other reasons Hillary didn't select Bernie such as she knew about the stunts her DNC girlfriends had performed on her behalf and she didn't wish to have Bernie that close to her.

Either way, as we have said since the election, Hillary barely lost those key battleground states so all it would have taken is a minor tweak or two and she would be President.   Having Bernie as V.P. is one but also visiting battleground states, like Wisconsin, that she also felt were 'all wrapped up',  is another (and of course the Comey letter and the deplorables comment, and the leaks about her corporate speaking,  etc.....
