I Saw A Deadhead Sticker on a Cadillac-- Don't Look Back

Ah.  You mean their thing that goes....

"People who bought THIS also liked...."  and then lists a few things that in MY case were things that didn't interest me at all.

All I know is that the suggestions on Google of the bands that are similar to Queens of the Stone Age and the Strokes aren't even close. They are similar to each other. The former came along a little bit earlier.

That's the one. I've never paid that much attention to

them, but the suggestions seem to be in the ballpark.

I have a Strokes CD, though I haven't listened to it in a while.

I'll give it a spin and see if they remind me of anybody. They

are showing the same pattern as so many bands--going

platinum, then down to gold, then down to neither. That's

show biz.

People will do that sot of thing too.

Once, back in the late '70's, due to my liking JAN HAMMER a lot( his solo work and with The Jan Hammer Band) along with OTHER electronic artists, thought I'd HAVE to like some LP one of them had, a solo project by JERRY CORBETTA( from SUGARLOAF) that really wasn't all that good.

It is hard to predict an individual's musical taste. I find

it amusing more than anything else. And of course it's

mostly a sales gimmick.
