Trump's Biggest Whoppers

The Special Counsel did not find any collusion and did not find any obstruction. AG Barr and DAG Rosenstein further determined there was no obstruction. The findings of the Department of Justice are a total and complete exoneration of the President of the United States.”

This is not accurate. As @KatyTurNBC just stated on air, Mueller did not "not find any obstruction." Mueller didn't draw a conclusion one way or the other.

Barr's letter: "While this report does not conclude that the president committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him."

=================================

Trump Aided and Abetted Russia’s Attack. That Was Treachery. Full Stop.

The scandal may not be a crime. It’s a betrayal.

"....Mueller’s job was to seek out possible crimes to prosecute. It was not to evaluate actions that did not rise to the level of criminality. Nor was it his charge to tell the public the whole truth.

Yet so much of the truth is already out there. And the bottom line was established before Mueller submitted his report: Trump committed what is probably the most significant political misdeed in American history. The public did not need the Mueller report to confirm this. The foundation of this scandal—Trump’s villainy—has for long resided within plain sight.

Don Junior's "I love it" was all the Russians had to hear as far as having the Trumps on board.  So is this open season on American elections now?  North Korea, if you are listening ...

1/ Thread: With Barr having delivered a bare bones summary of the Mueller report to Congress,

let’s remember that what we already knew about Trump

is so terrible that any other president would have been impeached and removed from office.

Democrats are fearful that Trump — exuberant over the conclusions of Robert Mueller’s probe

— could feel emboldened to quickly pardon allies swept up in the two-year investigation

If these potential pardons occur, it'll be because media misreported today's events

and allowed a false narrative to gain stream that gave Trump the cultural capital to pardon co-conspirators.

Media has about 24 hours, maybe less,

to calm down and properly report today's events.

Trump will not want the Mueller report released despite what he said the other day.  He says he is completely exonerated.  It can only go downhill from there.

Let's remember that this was not a democrat witch hunt.  The Mueller investigation was created by the Republican administration and at the time the democrats in congress were completely toothless.

I suspect that the Barr summary is lacking.  Why was everyone lying about contacts with the Russians?  Why did Trump concoct a cover story for the Don Jr. Trump Tower Meeting?  Did Roger Stone and the Trump campaign co-ordinate with wikileaks or not?  etc. etc. etc.

He will keep saying "No collusion" till the cows come home though.

David Gergen (CNN) says we still don't have answers as to whether Russia bribed Trump with deals

or whether Trump laundered Russian money

or whether there are other Trump-Russia associations that explain his and his family's inexplicable behavior.

So media IS starting to get it.

JUST NOW: McConnell blocks Schumer measure calling for Mueller report to be made public

My assumption is that Trump will be out in front of a bank of cameras at some point in the next 24 hours

demanding that McConnell let the American public see every word of his "total exoneration."

After all, he demanded exactly that just 48 hours ago.

So he'll do it again. Right?

<_<

Recording Reveals Oil Industry Execs Laughing at Trump Access

The tape of a private meeting was made shortly after the lawyer for an influential industry group was tapped for a high-level post at the Department of the Interior.

.... the energy developers who make up the Independent Petroleum Association of America had already watched the new president order a sweeping overhaul of environmental regulations that were cutting into their bottom lines — rules concerning smog, fracking and endangered species protection. ....

“For example, next week I’m invited to the White House to talk about tax code. Last week we were talking to Secretary Pruitt, and in about two weeks we have a meeting with Secretary Zinke. So we have unprecedented access to people that are in these positions who are trying to help us, which is great.” ,,,,,,,,,

FYI......

WATCH LIVE: PBS NewsHour and FRONTLINE’s joint special on the Mueller report

"........Attorney General William Barr on Sunday released a summary of the special counsel’s findings, in which Mueller concluded that President Donald Trump’s campaign did not collude with Russia to interfere in the 2016 race.

Mueller did not make a judgement on whether Trump obstructed justice, though Barr concluded that based on the special counsel’s report there was not enough evidence for an obstruction of justice charge.

Barr’s summary raised questions about the full report, which has not yet been made public, and what it means for Trump going forward.

The PBS NewsHour and FRONTLINE are partnering for special coverage tonight at 8 p.m. ET to address these concerns and more. Check your local PBS station for show times.....

Plus Why did Paul Manafort provide polling information to a Russian contact during the election campaign. Man, that sounds like collusion of some kind.

We need to see the Mueller report to see if there are any explanations as to how this either doesn't qualify as collusion or was it a case of simply not enough evidence for a probable conviction.

And, when it comes to lying, why did Manafort, in particular, do it so much? What was he covering up? Now Trump regards him as a hero. Why? Because he lied and wouldn't talk? Wouldn't talk about what if Trump is so innocent?

Trump Administration has proposed a rule change that would prevent Congress from being notified of small arms sales to other countries, including sniper rifles, AR-type rifles & flamethrowers.

@HouseForeign Affairs Oversight SubCommittee is shining a light on this bad rule change
