mr6666
NewsweekVerified account @Newsweek 33m33 minutes ago Adam Schiff Lists All the Ways He Says Trump Campaign Colluded With Russia, ........Schiff went on: “You might think it’s OK that he took that meeting. You might think it’s OK that Paul Manafort, the campaign chair, someone with great experience at running campaigns, took that meeting. You might think it’s OK that the president’s son-in-law also took that meeting. You might think it’s OK that they concealed it from the public. "You might think it’s OK that their only disappointment from that meeting was that the dirt they received on Hillary Clinton wasn’t better. You might think it’s OK that when it was discovered, a year later, they then lied about that meeting and said that it was about adoptions. You might think that it’s OK that it was reported that the president helped dictate that lie. You might think that’s OK. I don’t... .....But I do not think that conduct, criminal or not, is OK. And the day we do, think that's OK, is the day we look back and say that is the day that America lost its way." see all: https://www.newsweek.com/adam-schiff-trump-collusion-russia-1378232?utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=NewsweekTwitter&utm_source=Twitter 2

That's funny, but there isn't any need for Mitch to work with the Trump Admin to draft a healthcare 'reform' bill since the Dems control the House. So Trump should work with his favorite Dem, Pelosi. If Pelosi and her team and the Trump admin can agree on a bill (which is highly unlikely), then Mitch should just advise GOP Senators to support it. Thus this entire stunt by Trump is folly: Trump doesn't want any reform to become law; he just wants to pretend he does so when it fails, he can blame in on the Dems and use that against them in 2020. The Democrats won't agree on a new healthcare bill if government don't have complete totalitarian control over it - people themselves has no choice. This was the main sticking point with the ACA. It also has to be Affordable - which it lacked. Should had been labeled the UCA (Unaffordable Care Act

This was the main sticking point with the ACA. Neither party has 'one' consistent view of the type of reforms that are required. Yea, many Dems are calling for a total government run system, but I haven't heard that is the view of Pelosi (e.g. has she said she is for Medicare for All?). Anyhow, since there are so many different views WITHIN each party and vast differences BETWEEN the parties (like with Immigration reform), the odds a compromise bill can be passed are zero. mr6666
Facts Do Matter @WilDonnelly 8h8 hours ago So Trump thinks we are stupid enough to believe he hides his taxes because they show he's been honest, he threatened the schools he attended to hide his records because they show how smart he is, and his sycophant AG is hiding the Mueller report because it exonerates him. 1
mr6666
Donald Trump’s Talent for Turning Wins into Losses Like a gambler who can’t get up from the table, Trump’s life has been defined by manic overreaching whenever he feels he’s on top. ".......Barely more than a day after triumphantly (and incorrectly) blazoning his “Total EXONERATION,” Trump abruptly seized upon a Justice Department filing to pledge his intention to obliterate Obamacare. Bent on delivering on a campaign promise, Trump couldn’t resist the urge to try to parlay one win into an even larger one, no matter how improbable the odds. He ignored the advice of top staff and important allies, who pointed out that neither he nor his party had anything to offer as a replacement and that this almost certainly would work to the advantage of Democrats. While this looked to pundits and even fellow Republicans like a baffling, self-defeating stroke, it was consistent, actually, with Trump’s lifelong patterns........... He is this way, say people who know him well, because of his unshakable self-assurance and nerve but also his insatiable appetite for attention and conflict. “The discomfort he feels in the moment of peace that follows a victory is so intense that he will do whatever it takes to find new fights,”............. “The Republican Party will soon be known as the party of health care,” he insisted. “You watch.” Republicans on the Hill shook their heads. “I want nothing to do with this,” a senator said. A senior aide likened the maneuver to “punching yourself in the face repeatedly.” To those, though, who have watched him and known him longer than the insiders in Washington, this is par for the course for Trump. His vengeful, punitive, zero-sum worldview, they believe, dictates that a win alone is never enough; somebody else has to take the loss, and feel it...... (Trump) wants not only to topple his enemies but to strike back hard. “Victory defined by obliteration,” he said. “He is not interested in pleasures such as art and food and friendship, and he doesn’t seem to be motivated by love or creative impulses. The one exception is his drive to create conflict, which brings him the attention of others,”......... https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2019/03/29/donald-trumps-talent-for-turning-wins-into-losses-226339
