jakeem
Katie Couric @katiecouric Wow - this is big. The US Government Accountability Office (an independent office) says the Trump admin illegally withheld assistance from #Ukraine on orders from President Trump. Quote Tweet Senator Chris Van Hollen @ChrisVanHollen · 15m This bombshell legal opinion from the independent @USGAO demonstrates, without a doubt, that the Trump Administration illegally withheld assistance from Ukraine and the public evidence shows that the president himself ordered this illegal act. 10:05 AM · Jan 16, 2020·Twitter Web App 2

jakeem
Jay Bookman @jaysbookman The Trump WH wants to take $7 billion appropriated under law by Congress for specific projects and divert it to a border wall that Congress specifically chose NOT to fund. As the GAO points out, Trump also illegally withheld $214 million appropriated by Congress to Ukraine. These are clear violations of both federal law and the US Constitution, and in a functioning Congress would themselves be grounds for impeachment and then removal of any president who attempts such action. The reality that this Senate will do nothing in response is appalling. 10:49 AM · Jan 16, 2020·TweetDeck
