Pres says Acting Navy Secy Modly should not have said what he did about Capt Crozier and felt resignation was better for the country. Again says the Captain should not have written that letter about Coronavirus outbreak on his ship. "He should not have been Ernest Hemingway."

Trump said earlier that the government will be receiving 110,000 ventilators by the end of June. He said he thinks they won't all be needed, hopes they won't all be needed, but, in that case, they can send some to other countries in need.

We need federal intervention.
Supply is disrupted and filled with profiteering middle men and counterfeits.

N95 mask was $.62 now $6.50, gowns were $.24, now $4.50.

In a federal emergency if gas went from $1.50 to $28.13 per gallon would we intervene?

These PPEs can save lives.

President Trump again defends downplaying the coronavirus: "I am a cheerleader for this country...I think a president has to be a cheerleader."

He adds that he "closed down" travel to China and Europe but didn't see Peter Navarro's January memo warning about the virus's impact.

Trump says it's a "real thing" that African Americans are disproportionately affected. "Why is it that the African American community is so much...numerous times more than anybody else? And we want to find the reason to it." He says Fauci and Verma are "working on this."

For the record, The WHO warned every country about the danger of Covid-19. Some countries took the warnings seriously and responded well. The United States did not and the response was  a disastrous missing month of preparation that would have saved lives. So lets blame The WHO now

Trump cannot answer a question about WI voters who might get sick because they held the election today -- just brags about having won the state and claims that Democrats only wanted to stop the vote after he "endorsed a judge," not because of, uh, the pandemic.

Trump is again touting hydroxychloroquine, repeating a story about a Dem state lawmaker who says it helped. "I really think it's a great thing to try, just based on what I know. Again, I'm not a doctor. Get a physician's approval." (Again, hasn't been proven widely effective.)

Trump likes to claim that H1N1 was worse - and that Obama somehow botched the response

Between Apr. 2009-Apr. 2010, CDC estimates 12,469 H1N1 deaths in U.S.

#COVID19 deaths in the U.S. just reached this mark, and it happened in less than 6 weeks since the first U.S. death
