BREAKING: Trump admin is banning Americans from downloading or maintaining the WeChat or TikTok apps.

WeChat transactions prohibited starting Monday at midnight.

Tiktok will shut down Nov. 12 if there's no deal by then.

Trump admin says threats posed by WeChat and TikTok are not identical, but are similar. "Each collects vast swaths of data from users. ... Each is an active participant in China’s civil-military fusion and is subject to mandatory cooperation with the intel services of the CCP."

“WeChat U.S., for all practical purposes, will be shut down,” Commerce's Wilbur Ross says on Fox Business.

It'll be up to Apple and Alphabet Inc. to delete the Tiktok and WeChat apps from their US app stores. Apps already on Americans' phones still usable but won't be updated.

At the National Archives, feet from America's founding documents, Pres Trump uses speech marking Constitution Day, to decry “left wing mobs” that he says seek to “demolish the precious inheritance” contained in the Constitution. “We can’t let this happen,” he says.

“We can’t let that happen!  Only I can trash the Constitution!”

Candidate bearing gifts. Pres announces he’ll be announcing $13-billion in relief for farmers hard hit by the impact of the pandemic. Says Wisconsin farmers have been waiting a long time for that.

They’ve been waiting a long time....and you’ve been president for how long, you effing moron!?!?   6 weeks before the election.  You are so shamelessly transparent, you translucent fool!!!

TOTAL ESTIMATED U.S. COVID-19 DEATHS: 196,908

Trump Death Clock

118,145
Estimated U.S. COVID-19 Deaths Due To POTUS Inaction
In January 2020, the Trump administration was advised that immediate action was required to stop the spread of COVID-19. According to NIAID Director Dr. Anthony Fauci, “there was a lot of pushback” to this advice. President Trump declined to act until March 16th. Experts estimate that, had mitigation measures been implemented one week earlier, 60% of American COVID-19 deaths would have been avoided. (For further reading, click here).

President Trump says the reason they’re now rolling out the aid package for Puerto Rico
— weeks before the election

— is because it took a long time to get ready.

Trump is complimenting Puerto Rico and Puerto Ricans, announcing billions in aid money.

(Pre-campaign, he repeatedly complained about how much aid Puerto Rico was getting

or wildly overstated the amounts.)

Trump administration announces $13 billion in additional aid to Puerto Rico

in the aftermath of 2017's Hurricane Maria.

The move is likely an attempt to appeal to Puerto Rican voters who moved to the battleground state of Florida after the hurricane struck the US territory......

In the three years since the storm made landfall, the rebuilding process has been slow and costly. In November 2018,
White
House officials told congressional leaders and appropriators that the President did not want any additional relief funding sent to the island.

Asked why he didn't approve the aid package years ago,
Trump baselessly claimed in a Friday news conference that it was the Democrats' fault.

"Very tough to get things passed, Democrats, where they don't want to see this happen," he said,

though the reality is his administration held up aid to the island as he criticized its residents........

BREAKING: Ruth Bader Ginsburg, one of the most revered justices in U.S. Supreme Court history, has died. She was 87 https://politi.co/3iKVkLG

Only the second woman to serve on the Supreme Court, Ginsburg wrote some of its most notable opinions on gender discrimination, including the majority opinion in US v. Virginia, a 1996 case which opened the Virginia Military Institute to women.

RBG's influence went far beyond gender cases. In 2012, Ginsburg authored a vital concurrence/dissent in the split decision for National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius – a case that upheld aspects of the Affordable Care Act.

After Scalia died in February 2016, 9 months before the election, Mitch McConnell did not allow Obama to name his replacement because the election was so close.

"The American people should have a say in the court's direction," McConnell asserted.

NO RBG replacement now.

Knowing that Mitch McConnell is about to make a liar of himself (again) by abandoning his Merrick Garland rule, Republicans should just stop using words entirely and begin communicating only in grunts and foot stomps. They have no principles and worship only power.

Replying to

The egregiousness of it will be so extreme it would guarantee a Dem Senate. And if McConnell dares to do it, he will know a Dem Senate would almost surely add seats to fix what he broke. And one has to think a few of his caucus members won't want to be responsible for that.

I know it’s tempting to start talking about who will replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg, but the truth is, no one will replace her. So let’s just remember her legacy — how much she did, how many barriers she broke, & how hard she fought for women’s rights and equality more generally.
