Trump's Biggest Whoppers

If Mitch McConnell isn't factoring in the fury that he would unleash by ramming through a judge six weeks before an election, then he is wayyy too isolated for his own good.

To be clear, I don't think McConnell gives a ****. But if he tried to push ahead and replace RBG against her dying wish, he will - mark my words - reap the whirlwind.

News: @SenatorCollins told me earlier this month in Maine that she would not seat a Supreme Court justice in October.

“I think that’s too close, I really do,” she said.

She said she’d also oppose seating a justice in the lame duck if there’s a change in presidents.

Regardless of politics, all Americans -specially women- owe #RBG a debt of gratitude for moving the ball forward considerably on equal rights.

She lived her life as an example of perseverance and commitment to service.

Also, 2020 sucks. I hate this interminably **** year.

I'm not so sure of this. McConnell has to take temperature of vulnerable senators -- Collins, Tillis, McSally, Gardner. Do they WANT a pre-election vote? McConnell can have cake and eat it. Fire up GOP base, but ram through vote in lame duck, regardless of who wins Nov. 3.

To clarify: My bet is that Trump nominates, but McConnell doesn't schedule a vote until AFTER election to protect his members. Risk is that the evangelical base AND pro-choice women -- especially those suburban women Trump is trying to appeal to -- are equally fired up.
