NEW: Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski told the Anchorage Daily News today that she wants President Trump to resign, and if the GOP cannot separate itself from the president, she would "sincerely" question her future in the party.

Uh,,  I recommend you edit your post.    As you can see it only shows Hibi's comment and someone might mistake the 'your" for Hibi.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Here's part of Twitter's blog posting explaining their action, based on the two tweets he posted between the first temporary suspension and today:

This determination is based on a number of factors, including:

  • President Trump’s statement that he will not be attending the Inauguration is being received by a number of his supporters as further confirmation that the election was not legitimate and is seen as him disavowing his previous claim made via two Tweets (1, 2) by his Deputy Chief of Staff, Dan Scavino, that there would be an “orderly transition” on January 20th.
  • The second Tweet may also serve as encouragement to those potentially considering violent acts that the Inauguration would be a “safe” target, as he will not be attending.
  • The use of the words “American Patriots” to describe some of his supporters is also being interpreted as support for those committing violent acts at the US Capitol.
  • The mention of his supporters having a “GIANT VOICE long into the future” and that “They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!” is being interpreted as further indication that President Trump does not plan to facilitate an “orderly transition” and instead that he plans to continue to support, empower, and shield those who believe he won the election.
  • Plans for future armed protests have already begun proliferating on and off-Twitter, including a proposed secondary attack on the US Capitol and state capitol buildings on January 17, 2021.

House Speaker Pelosi says she spoke to Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley this morning

"to discuss available precautions for preventing an unstable president from initiating military hostilities or accessing the launch codes and ordering a nuclear strike."

Don Jr. is taking up Daddy's Twitter cause against his Twitter jail sentence...

Twitter will very likely suspend or cancel Don Jr. account as well as others associated with them if they continue with there crap.

They should have done that months ago,  or at least days after the election results were known.

PS:  I really wonder if Trump is trying to work with a foreign leader to seek asylum.   E.g.  Jair Bolsonaro of Brazil.     No joke.   As I said Trump is the ultimate coward he isn't going to wish to face being charged for crimes (even at the state level).    As President he already had to turnover assets to his family.

Yea, crazy idea,   but with Trump anything is possible.

So the ayatollah, and numerous other dictatorial regimes can have Twitter accounts with no issue despite threatening genocide to entire countries and killing homosexuals etc... but The President of the United States should be permanently suspended. Mao would be proud.

Trump beats Twitter ban by tweeting from @POTUS account: President says he might build his own platform, warns Twitter is in cahoots with 'Radical Left' to silence him and there will be a 'big announcement soon' - before tweets are deleted

Trump beats Twitter ban by tweeting from @POTUS account

President Donald Trump sent a message to his supporters on Friday night by using the official account of the President of the United States (pictured left), managing to briefly beat his Twitter ban to promise, 'We will not be SILENCED!'' He successfully launched into yet another Twitter tirade, despite the social media platform having permanently banned his account (pictured bottom right) earlier in the evening due to the risk that he would use it to 'further incite violence'. 'Twitter is not about FREE SPEECH. They are all about promoting a Radical Left platform where some of the most vicious people in the world are allowed to speak freely,' the president wrote. The tweets were deleted just minutes later but Trump (pictured top right) then issued the same message to the White House press pool. After his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday, resulting in angry clashes with Capitol police that led to five fatalities, Twitter claimed that Trump's account was removed due to his final two tweets on Friday morning, which it claimed were in breach of its Glorification of Violence policy. The tweets praised those who stormed the Capitol as 'American patriots' and announced that Trump would not attend Biden's inauguration. It comes after Facebook banned the president's account 'at least' until his term is over on January 20 and after hundreds of Twitter employees wrote a letter to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey calling on him to act.

Trump set to become first president in history to be impeached TWICE as Democrats reveal single article of 'incitement of insurrection' that will be voted on as early as Monday if he refuses to resign

Democrats say they will impeach Trump on article of 'incitement of insurrection'

House Democrats are planning to impeach President Donald Trump with a single impeachment article charging him with 'incitement of insurrection' they revealed Friday afternoon. The move is on a hyper-fast track after Wednesday's Capitol riot - with the article set to be introduced Monday. A draft of the article prepared by Reps. David Cicilline, Ted Lieu, and Jamie Raskin states that, 'Incited by Trump, a mob unlawfully breached the Capitol,' injured law enforcement, menaced lawmakers and the vice president, and interfered with the count of the Electoral College. It cites Trump's false claims that 'We won this election' and 'We won it by a landslide, and cites his effort to 'subvert and obstruct the certification of the results.' With the Capitol still cleaning up broken windows, smashed historic doors, and mourning a deceased Capitol Police officer, the article states that he 'gravely endangered the security of the United States.' Trump 'betrayed his trust as president,' it reads, calling his conduct 'grossly incompatible with self-governance and the rule of law.' It calls for him not just to be removed but to be banned from public office - which would prevent a 2024 presidential run, and potentially make the idea more attractive to Republicans than simple conviction. But the White House said that a 'politically motivated impeachment against a president with 12 days remaining in his term will only serve to further divide our great country.' House Democrats hashed out the plan for hours on a conference call. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi provided a Friday afternoon update on plans - with several options in the mix.

Don't dare call ME a Nazi! Clinched-fist senator Josh Hawley lashes out after Joe Biden compares him and Ted Cruz to Goebbels' spreading the 'big lie'

Don't dare call ME a Nazi! Hawley tells Biden

Sen. Josh Hawley lashed out at Joe Biden Friday after the president-elect said Hawley and Sen. Ted Cruz were guilty of spreading the 'big lie' - that voter fraud robbed President Donald Trump of a second term. Biden then brought up Nazi propagadist Joseph Goebbels, explaining that if you 'keep repeating the line, repeating the lie,' that people will start to believe it.
