500 candles lit the White House South Lawn, and the flag is flying over the WH at half-staff in honor of those lost to the virus

Trump calls NY's Democrat DA Cy Vance a 'headhunter' as he slams SCOTUS ruling that forces him to hand over tax returns in fraud probe - calling it 'a continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt in history of our country'

Supreme Court: NYC prosecutors CAN get Donald Trump's tax returns

Donald Trump blasted a Supreme Court ruling on Monday that paved the way for a New York City prosecutor to obtain his tax returns and other financial records as part of a criminal investigation, a blow to his quest to conceal details of his finances.  'This investigation is a continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt in the history of our Country,' begins the missive, sent out from the Office of Donald J. Trump.  This investigation is a continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt in the history of our Country, whether it was the never ending $32 million Mueller hoax, which already investigated everything that could possibly be investigated, "Russia Russia Russia," where there was a finding of "No Collusion," or two ridiculous "Crazy Nancy" inspired impeachment attempts where I was found NOT GUILTY. It just never ends!

To Cyrus Vance:

Quoting the Big Bopper--

"You know what I like!"

Representation has improved in Congress, but only about 28% of House members are Black, Hispanic, Asian or Indigenous — even though those groups make up 39% of the total population.

racial and ethnic diversity is not in of itself an agent for good. like money it is what it is used for which determines it's value or worthlessness.

only the left tells itself if it puts 5 multi-colored marbles next to five white monotone marbles and then yell yippee the world somehow is magically made perfect.

unthinking and silly.

Wow.  This sounds just like another justification for racist policies.

Do you really think that black or latinos would be better served by an all white congress rather than one that has more members that are just like them?

NEW: It’s hard to believe but today is Congress’ first chance to demand answers from key officials who oversaw the botched security response that allowed an armed insurrection to overtake the Capitol. @AndrewDesiderio and I are tracking the hearing.

Things we might learn:

-Why the sergeants at arms seemed to be concerned about ‘optics’ as the mob breached the Capitol

-What happened to Officer Sicknick

-What preparations were made in advance of Jan. 6, and which lawmakers were briefed?

More possible revelations:

-What is the status of the Capitol Police review of lawmakers/staff who have Jan. 5 tours?

-Why are 35 officers being investigated for their Jan. 6 conduct (including six suspended)?

An independent investigation finds Aurora Police did not have a basis to stop, frisk, or restrain Elijah McClain. The report also found, "EMS administered a **** dosage based on a grossly inaccurate and inflated estimate of Mr. McClain’s size."
