Nearly a dozen Fox News guests presented as concerned parents or educators who oppose the teaching of so-called “critical race theory” in schools also have day jobs as Republican strategists, conservative think-tankers, or right-wing media personalities

Fox chyrons identifying these people as teachers or parents -- and not as GOP operatives

BREAKING: Supreme Court says Philadelphia wrongly limited ties with a Catholic agency over the group's refusal to certify same-sex couples as foster parents.

The justices ruled unanimously against Philadelphia, which requires the foster care agencies it works with not to discriminate. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote that the city's refusal to work with Catholic Social Services violated the First Amendment.

There is no record of a same-sex couple seeking to become foster parents through Catholic Social Services. In ruling against the city, the court said the agency has a right to provide services "in a manner consistent with its religious beliefs."

SCOTUS said refusing to adopt to gay couples is a religious freedom issue. But would SCOTUS apply the same logic to religious views on interracial families? Or does SCOTUS simply see religious bigotry as a more legitimate religious belief than racial bigotry?

And if it's the latter, when did we decide that SCOTUS gets to determine which doctrines are legitimate and which are not?

I saw this report.  The "secure powerful laboratory" is a farm house in a forest with a no trespassing sign.

NEW: The House voted 268-161 to repeal the 2002 authorization of military force in Iraq.

If passed by the Senate, it would prevent U.S. presidents from carrying out attacks in Iraq without securing prior approval from Congress.

So, in the space of six months, Texas learns the bitter lesson that it lacks standing to overturn either a presidential election or a national health care law! Next?

It would be interesting to know how much the tax payers spend each year on these (political) law suits.  They often end up funding both sides one way or another.

A big win for the American people.

There’s no better day than today to sign up for quality, affordable health care at http://HealthCare.gov.

With millions of people relying on the Affordable Care Act for coverage, it remains, as ever, a BFD. And it’s here to stay.

Lincoln knew America’s founding was July 4 1776. He knew that was the day our amazing nation made a step from “ideal” to reality

“Juneteenth” is an affront to the unity of July 4th. We now have 2 summer holidays—and one of them based on race

Shame on the GOP for supporting this
