NEW: Mike Pence is positioning himself for a 2024 presidential run by aiming to raise a whopping $18 million this year.

You have to wonder if the Woodward revelations about the Pence/Quayle phone call where Pence begged Quayle to give him a reason to subvert the Constitution and overthrow the election was not a leak fabricated by Mike Pence himself.  It looks to me like an attempt to get back into the good graces of the Trump supporters who wished to hang him and for Pence to tell them, 'look, I have now and have always had my head firmly planted up Donald Trump's arse."
