his past term & continued presence permits & encourages this kind of behavior....

I've come to the conclusion, regrettably, that a sizable portion of the US population is mentally unstable.  Maybe these things were going on all the time, and we just didn't have video cameras to capture them, but seems like there's more to it than that.

I tend to believe that Mike Judge hit the nail on the head with his 2006 film "Idiocracy," in which a 21st-century man (Luke Wilson) wakes up 500 years later in a United States dominated by morons.

Israeli forces have rearrested the last two of six Palestinian prisoners who escaped a maximum-security Israeli prison two weeks ago. The two were captured during an Israeli army raid in their hometown of Jenin in the occupied West Bank.
