Thanks..... I am a 3-time Oscar nominee. I began in films of the '50s in ingenue roles, mostly in comedies and costume dramas. I retired from the screen in the early '60s to get married, and didn't return until the mid-'70s. In the '90s, I received an Emmy nomination for a recurring role in a very successful TV series.

I was born in Washington state, graduated from college and migrated to Boradway, where I was discovered, brought to Hollywood and given a contract by a new film group. I began as a star in a series of good, if not sensational films. I went to Universal, and continued making good films with many popular leading me of the day. My sleek good looks made me a natural for both drama and noir.

I married twice and had two daughters by my second husband.

I had a very successful TV series in the mid-fifties, and then retired.

I died of throat cancer.

I was born in Brooklyn. After WW II service, I performed briefly in radio dramas, then made my film debut. My ruggeedly handsome features and distinctive look made me a favorite with females, though most of my roles were in Westerns and action pictures, even playing Indians on a few occasions. I died in my early forties under unusual circumstances.

I was born in the mid -thirties in Nebraska. After school, I went to New York and did some small stuff, and then went on to bigger stuff and in a few years time, I was a star, winning many awards, including a Tony. I did some TV, then went to Hollywood to co-star in a very important film, for which I was awarded an Oscar for a Supporting role. I did more Broadway and movies...all to great acclaim.

I studied with a famous woman who taught the "method" style of acting.

I lived for many years with a famous musician.

I died at a young age of Ovarian Cancer.

I know that Sandy Dennis is correct, so here comes another one.

I was a distinguished Broadway actor when I made my film debut in the early '30s. During only 7 years in Hollywood, after which I died in my early fifties, I played many memorable character parts, often in leads. One of those parts was in an Oscar-winning film, and another was in a classic screwball comedy.

Thanks, finance.

I was born in New York, attended dramatic school and worked my way to the movies via summer stock and Broadway. In the end, my film career covered six decades. I played a variety of roles, though may be best remembered for a certain ?type.? I also became also became associated with a particular genre. I was nominated for more than one Oscar and won one. I also earned an Emmy Award. There were rumors that linked me romantically with one of my best-known and most frequent co-stars?but I?m not talking!
