DownGoesFrazier
You are guessing correctly, Eve. I was referring to the "Twilight Zone" episode in which she played a came-to-life department store mannequin. Your thread.
The Lady Eve
That?s what I thought you meant ? and her series, ?Honey West?? My father was an Irish hardware salesman from County Cork, my mother was a musician and music teacher?I literally grew up around the world, but mostly in the states and I served in WWII. I began my acting career with a well-known theater group and had a couple of roles on Broadway while in my 20?s. I had very interesting roles in a few classic films but my career blossomed on TV and I won two Emmy Awards over the years. I had many hobbies ? cooking, fishing, collecting wine and art, many things. To this day the vineyard I founded celebrates my birthday every year with a bash where a meal, chocolate cake and Cabernet Sauvignon is served to those who stop by? DownGoesFrazier
The son of Russian immigrants, I was raised in Wisconsin. By the early '20s, I was respected for being a crack reporter, columnist, short story writer, and budding novelist. I was soon offered a Hollywood contract. I turned out many entertaining screenplays with tremendous ease and speed. I accepted movie assignments only when I ran out of money; still, over a period of 40 years, I received screen credit for some 70 films, in addition to collaborations credited to other writers. I also directed or co-directed a number of films, though not to as much acclaim. In the late '40s I was boycotted by British exhibitors for my criticism of British policies in Palestine. I died in the mid-'60s. Who am I?

visualfeast
I was discovered by a famous Hollywood showman, brought there and immediately began a career of semi-acrobatic comedies (low budget). I was known for an amazingly large feature.

DownGoesFrazier
I was a stage actress from early childhood, made my screen debut at age 7, and developed into a beautiful leading lady with natural golden hair. In the '30s I was regarded as one of the prettiest and best-dressed stars and was voted in one poll as Hollywood's most beautiful actress. I preferred period and costume pictures. After retiring from films, I starred in a mid-'50s TV series and appeared in many other TV shows. I was married to a producer and later a businessman, and devoted much of my time to philanthropic causes. Who am I? Poinciana
Thanks Finance, detective work paid off and it was fun doing the search. Next: I was born in 1921 and had the acting bug early. I was discovered by the movies while doing stage work. Usually a "featured player", I was almost always cast as the supportive friend of the star. I made my mark in television starting in the Fifties. I played a much maligned wife of the star in a sit-com. Much later on I found my niche on a soap. Who am I?
